This week, we were asked to write a research proposal on any data science topic. At first, I thought it would be a matter of picking a topic and getting straight to writing. But I soon realized that there is a lot more to a research proposal than I expected.
I mean the whole process of learning something, getting stuck, figuring out what went wrong, and moving on without feeling like one error message has ruined my entire day.
I honestly thought this week would be easier, at least when it came to the setup. I’d already gone through all the installation and environment issues in Week 1, so I was expecting to just open VS Code, pull the new files from GitHub and get started with the actual work.
Week one of Dataraflow Cohort 2 started before I even opened a Python file. It started with me trying to get Python to work on my laptop and getting the very lovely message, “py is not recognized as an internal or external command.”
